San Miguel de Allende A long time ago, I heard the name of this emblematic Pueblo Magico. I had dreamed of visiting this town for so long that it was like a dream. It is not too far from where I live, but it seems that the distance was my first obstacle.
The Journey.
I was excited when the map told me I was getting close to San Miguel. My eyes couldn’t believe what I was looking for; every moment we approached more to the center of the town, the town itself delivered what I had expected for so many years.
Each house I saw was like a new type of Architecture for me, and I couldn’t contain my excitement for each house’s corner and store.
The architecture of San Miguel de Allende has a Spanish architecture style. The town preserved the old style of architecture; the streets were narrow and beautifully paved throughout the city.
The streets invite you to create street photography and architecture photos, so for me was heaven.
The first photos that I took were on my iPhone. It was at hand and more comfortable to carry when driving. This town has many places to take amazing shots and people from all over the world a quick stop, and this is an excellent experience to live in San Miguel.
The day I arrived there was a movie festival where Tom Hanks and Jalitzia Aparicio, two actors there to promote the festival, were giving some talks, but for me, it was more to know the town and what it offers.
Casa de Los Soles.
Our hotel was the Casa de Los Soles, which has all types of pottery representing the sun. The room is so big that it feels more like a home than a hotel.
It gives the sensation that you belong to San Miguel and never left, only you were away for a long time.
The stay in the hotel was comfortable and spacious, with a small kitchen. They give you some snacks that make you feel more comfortable there. I also like that it is not too far from the main square or Zocalo.
What else?
San Miguel de Allende is one of the most expensive Pueblos Magicos, and some prices are high but not that high. Well, you can find the cheapest to the more costly experiences you could have, but with a balanced budget, you will not regret it.
There are plenty of activities and museums you can also visit. One of the most extraordinary experiences you could have is seeing the vineyards.
It is a complete experience tour, knowing the process for their wines and the final destination to taste delicious wines.
Visit this town and live the experience that will love you Mexico more and more.
San Miguel and it’s magic.
San Miguel has this magic all around the town. The beauty of the small streets and the romantic way it shows is fantastic. Few towns have this type of magic that you can feel and breathe.
There is something that absolute you will love each corner show us something new and even if you have seen it is a town that makes us want to get lost and wander until we are lost or find a lovely cafe where to see the sunset with people passing by.
One needs more than just two days; you must stay and admire the whole place. In one day, you will not see everything.
If you have been there, you want to go back, because you feel at peace and the best part is when you remember your stay in the town you want to feel the same way, and you do it reflecting the beauty.
It is a small town that one can walk around and you’ll see the whole village but what is different is that each house and corner have something different that if you dont pay attention to, you will not find that kind of magic.
I recommend you spend a week and start loving the town there.
