Moment Lenses.
I use my smartphone more like a professional camera, but I didn’t know much about photography when I started in 2015. I wasn’t expecting to make photography my primary profession.
I focused on my law career in San Diego or where it was an opportunity. Photography wasn’t a reality or even something close to that.
Then photography starts to show, and with the iPhone 5s, I love to take photos and use different apps. But definitely, there were some things to improve with mobile photography, and then Moment shows that we can do much more with our phones.
First, the price, and second there are many lenses for different brands and accessories that you can use with the DSLR, but the price point was a downside. I thought it was better to have this kind of smartphone than a big DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
Moment as a company shows us that we can do much more if we want to do more about it and not just be a hobby.
Photography is my big passion, and I can share how I see the world with it. But I knew nothing about what I was getting. I want to know more and keep learning this craft.
Not everyone likes the smartphone, that is for sure, but with how the evolution of the smartphone camera is going with sensors, they have their limits. The smartphone is competing more and more with big cameras.
One big con is that you can’t attach interchangeable lenses to a smartphone. Fortunately, this changed on 2014 when a company created a campaign on Kickstarter; Moment was the first or, for me, was the first to introduce these interchangeable lenses for your smartphone.

When Moment created these campaigns, it gave me the versatility and freedom to make or take photos with my smartphone. Honestly, I didn’t start with their first campaign, only the second. I love the company and the lens and still use time to time.
Moment lenses give me a perspective on photography. I am not so picky on the pixels or high pixel quality and still, the quality that Moment lenses give you is, for me, the best.
Another reason I choose Moment as a company is a versatility in using the lens with my smartphone. The campaign they created was catchy, and I love their format.
Showing different ways to use the lens gives the freedom of creativity and new ways to explore photography. Is another level taking pictures with our smartphones now is a reality using different attachments like the Beastgrip and setting other big lenses and using more and more your smartphone as an excellent professional cameras.
Moment allows us to be more accessible and use it not only as a hobby but also as how to create our vision.
It is true that compared with a DSLR or a mirrorless can’t compete yet, but they are getting closer and closer to being used more and more by professional photographers.
Real-life experiences.
When entering a museum or park here in Mexico, they fear big cameras and don’t allow you to take photos.
Sometimes they think a professional camera will take photos with impressive details, and they don’t know the camera’s specifications. They do not understand the skills of the photographer. To have a smartphone now gives you higher quality, similar to a DSLR or Mirrorless.
So when they asked me to leave my camera at the entrance (not so happy about it), I secured it and asked them if I could take photos with my smartphone and when they said yes, that was a win for me (muahahaha).
So What do I do? I take my iPhone, or you can use any smartphone and suing the additional attachments, and even like setting up a weapon. It feels more like a device that will make your photography dreams come true.

Another example and they happened more regularly. I always forget something. Is my battery not fully charged, or is the SD card I carry?
But what I usually carry is my smartphone and Moment lens. In those situations, I won and did not have to worry about the camera because I have my smartphone and can take and create photos without worrying.
I also encourage you to take more photos with your smartphone. The app from Moment is helpful, but not everyone like it, and they prefer the native app from the smartphone, in this case, with apple.
With your smartphone and usability having a camera and editing computer in your pocket, it is more accessible, and you can be creative with it. Several apps give you usability, and you can use settings such as a DSLR or Mirrorless. I use the more and more the Moment app.

Moment lenses have different results, and I still love each one of the lenses. I use other accessories from other companies and combine them with what I have; like Beastgrip, I use the cage, which is another way to use your smartphone.
Moment can be used on your smartphone, and I love to use them more. You can go and look at those prices and lenses.
I recommend you to have this lens, but you don’t have to spend on them; you can still achieve great photos with native lenses on your smartphone.
Other factors will increase your photography, like studying photography and how to use lights and composition. One skill that will always help you is practicing and finding how to take and create photos.
Conclusion.
There are plenty of resources now with the internet and the world being close. There are more and more phone attachments for photography. With Moment I have the freedom to create more.
