Writing this blog, I realize that I know nothing about this art. I like their creations, the pop of color, and the artist of the design; some represent our reality, and others graffiti is what the artist sees in our society or political statements that the city or country is passing by. But even with all that, I wish I could know more about the process.
All art is to be seen by people; some pass and others are neighbors that live near, or the art is in their house.
When I walk the streets, I try to see the architecture and how the building architecture surrounds it creates to visualize the city differently. Some towns are decorated with beautiful colors, others with more buildings because that is what the city requires, and paints depend on the place and the people who want to see the city they live.
Others have a great combination of both. When I see an explosion of color on the walls of cities, it gives me some characteristics of how people perceive their city.
Many institutions help an artist express themselves, and the spaces where they can show their art is not attached to one single spot. I have found that there is art everywhere and around the city and some of their nearest towns like Cholula, San Andres, and Atlixco. The artist takes chances where they can express the art and the vision they have.
Artists invited to present a project of art after being approved were allowed to show how they perceived art. They recently created a program with a local University (UPAEP). Some neighborhoods collaborated with the walls and locations as well.
One of these locations is in Barrio de Santiago, and the other is Barrio de Analco. In the state of Puebla, there are many other examples around Mexico and the world.
There have to be more spaces dedicated to this type of art, and there could be districts or neighborhoods only dedicated to this type of art, not the one where it is only scratches or lines. Maybe there is a meaning behind this, but the artist’s creativity has to be more than just lines or lines where their concept is to create something that amazes the public.
They can create unique places near the city, or in the magical towns that surround cities, where they encourage the youth to do something for their community, and this has to be each year can be set contest and promotion of art, but this is only my idea.
Puebla is a city that creates many things related to culture, art, and history. There are many things this city can do, and it is progressing in the right direction. There are more ways to promote this artistic perspective. The government and citizens must work together to preserve and create more spaces to show the city’s creative side.
The type of art they create is quite fantastic, opens doors to be more creative, and inspires more people who see this type of art. There is hidden creativity on the walls of this city; this is only the beginning to find more talent, keep painting, creating dreams and set some smiles to those that see your art.
Here are some of the artists, and you can follow them on their respective social media:
